Malathy has a passion for cooking, and
she spends time in the kitchen and loves it. She is used to getting
compliments from friends, family, relations...well anyone who has
tasted her food. Secretly, she harbours a dream of appearing on a tv
cookery show, if only to see if what others say about her cooking is
true.
Malathy is offering nutritious and
tasty snacks and food. She keeps it simple and tasty. She uses rock
salt or black salt in her cooking, thereby reducing the salt content,
uses very little oil and avoids deep frying as much as possible. She
is aware of the eating habits of the region and does not blindly ape
the western cuisine but prefers to blend the traditional with the
modern. She loves to innovate without experimenting too much.
Birthday parties- Parents love to throw
birthday parties but are dismayed to see the guests waste a lot of
food. It is important to lay out the starters first, and have them
play a few games before serving the main food to the hungry children
and guests. Main items include Pasta , pav bhaji, kati rolls,
cocktail idlis... the list goes on, preceded by starter items like
Mini pizza, Chota bhim burger, Double decker matri with topping,
Cheese pineapple, Baby corn fritters etc.
Kitty parties- Ladies get together a
lot these days. They love to eat and with more and more women working
out, dieting is no longer a necessity and love to eat well in the
company of friends and colleagues. They love to taste nutritious and
tasty food. Again starters followed by the main spread. Items like
Cheese barwa mirchi, Kachoris, Sabudan cutlet... followed by Dahi
vada, Kausway, Chole puri, Mooli puri, Stuffed paraths, Aloo
parathas, Coconut milk pulao, Veg biryani etc.
Dinner parties- People love to have a
good dinner because breakfast is atleast 8-10 hours away, if at all.
A variety of starters to stimulate the taste buds. Even as the guests
nurse their drinks and allow the hunger to grow, a sumptuous spread
of Veg biryani, Stuffed parathas, Dal maakhani, rajma chole,
Chowmein, Kausway, Eenjo, Baturas, Rotis.. the exhaustive list goes
on. Dinner followed by mocktails, coffee, icecream, Kombucha...etc.
